My passion for Five Element Acupuncture began in 1984 when I experienced my first acupuncture treatment. In 1982, when I was twenty five years old I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease. It was a major wake up call for me. After 6 months of chemotherapy and radiation, the tumor in my chest was gone but I knew I had much more healing to go through to restore my body from the side effects of this treatment, and to truly align my entire being at a much deeper, conscious level.
A friend at my cancer support group suggested Acupuncture. I thought I would try it, even though I knew nothing about it.
During my first Acupuncture treatment I felt my internal energy move in a way I had never experienced before. I became more relaxed and instantly connected with a deeper part of myself that I intuited was a source for healing. That was the beginning of a long journey of healing. I realized this was the system of medicine I longed to practice, to share it with others, and to serve them in their own healing journey.
Today, I am honored and humbled to practice Five Element Acupuncture for twenty nine years. My clients are my constant teachers. I am grateful for how they inspire me to be an Instrument of Nature and a partner in supporting their own healing process.
